We've been supporting Malaria No More UK in their work to end malaria deaths, by making a donation for every new sign up to our Beachcomber community space. Since the beginning of 2011 we've made donations to support the distribution of 53 mosquito nets in Africa, helping protect communities from malaria; a disease that currently kills a child every 45 seconds.

Malaria No More UK has helped protect over 2 million people from malaria in Ghana, Botswana and Namibia. People like young mother Doreen who lives with her husband and their six month year old baby John in Ghana, where 100% of the population are at risk from malaria. Doreen benefitted from a mosquito net distribution and malaria education campaign that Malaria No More UK supported recently. The charity has plans to do much more in the coming weeks and months, helping to protect communities in Ghana and Namibia as well as raising vital awareness about the importance of ending malaria deaths across Africa.

Malaria No More is delighted that funds donated by La Playa are helping this effort.
